CHAIR EPISODE 1
First Meeting: Food arrived; Sparks flew; Streamers were hung
Segment 1
-Sam walks Jen down the aisle to Al
-Todd gets news from the doctor (he’s at the hospital)
-Ben (who went to the hospital with Todd) talks to Blair on the phone but Todd snatches the phone away before he can tell her about Jack.
-Anphonio & Keri arrive at the diner to a big celebration (Hank, Rae, Carlotta, …) because she was cleared of the charges Shawna brought against her.
-Al and Jen’s wedding ceremony starts
-Natalie tells Cris about Al being able to walk
Segment 2
-Todd tries to convince Ben not to tell Blair the truth about Jack being sick. Blair calls Ben again and wants to know why they were disconnected and if Todd is with Ben. Blair wants Todd to come home so the celebration can start (they are supposed to be celebrating getting the children back). Ben does not tell Blair the truth then leaves. The doctor takes Todd into one of the examination rooms to talk to him about what he found.
-Meanwhile, at Dorian’s, Blair is blowing up balloons when the doorbell rings—it’s Chad. He has come to make a delivery from Break Bar. He is very impressed with Blair : -) She gets him to lift her up so she can attached a dangling end of a streamer. He lifts her like she is a feather. There is much happy smiling and laughing as he puts her down. He offers to come back and help her later. Starr comes down the staircase and shoots the mood in the foot when she calls Blair “Mommy.” Chad can’t believe Blair is a mother!
-RJ, Keri,… at the party.
-The wedding continues
-Natalie continues to confess to Cris.
Segment 3
-Keri at the party with Hank; Anphonio and RJ talk
-Todd talks to the doctor, who says the symptoms are consistent with aplastic anemia. The doctor leaves to get the test results. Todd talks to himself then fantasizes about telling Blair the truth. Blair freaks out and blames Todd for Jack’s illness: if I had known we could have had him tested…She calls him a monster. Back in reality, Todd reassures himself that Jack is not really sick but the doctor returns and tells him that Jack does have aplastic anemia.
-Natalie continues to continue to confess everything to Cris
-The wedding continues with the vows—“If someone can show just cause why these two cannot be joined…” Max jumps up.
Segment 4
-the wedding continues with Max talking about “truth” but Gabs jumps up and stops Max from spilling Al’s secret. The minister then asks who is giving Jen away (I volunteer). Sam steps up and puts Jen’s hand in Al’s.
-Starr stomps down the stairs. She is hungry and tired of waiting for the party to start. Blair tells her that they have to wait. Blair asks Chad what he meant when he offered to return later. He gets all flustered. He didn’t realize she was married….Blair is flattered by the attention but shows him the portrait of her family and calls herself an old married woman. Chad tells her she’s not old. She’s hot…He’s nervous and feels like he’s digging a hole. Rae walks in and almost makes him jump through the ceiling. He leaves but pauses on the doorstep and exhales--Wow. Blair walks to the door and looks out at Chad walking away, we assume, for a few seconds then closes it. Rae: What was that all about? Blair: Just a reminder of how lucky I am. (Aside: Or actually how lucky she could be!)
-The doctor talks about possible donors. Todd tells him that Jack has a sister. A real sister—Starr.
Segment 5
-RJ & Anphonio spar; Keri & Hank; Keri & RJ
-Cris at the church trying to locate the wedding; the priest tells him that there is no wedding there that day. He rushes off.
-The wedding continues with Jen and Al saying their vows.
Segment 6
-Keri etc. at the party at the diner. Everyone leaves. Keri and Anphonio dance and kiss.
-Blair tells Rae that she and Todd are happy. Rae leaves. Starr whines that she is really hungry and when Blair checks her watch she realizes that Todd and Jack are really late. Blair agrees to start the party without them. She and Starr are blowing whistles and dancing around the room when the phone rings. It’s Larry, who asks Blair to bring Jack’s immunization records when she comes to the hospital. Blair is shocked to find out that Todd and Jack are there.
-The doctor tells Todd that Starr would not be a suitable donor for Jack even if she were his biological sibling because she had the disease before. The doctor leaves and Todd convinces himself that he can’t tell Blair the truth. Ben sticks his head in the door and tells Todd he is leaving but if he needs anything… Ben leaves. Todd says to himself: I’ll tell you what I need. I need for my kid to get better and Blair not to find out.
-Natalie looks at pictures of oldSeth then tears them up and drops the pieces in the garbage can. Natalie: Goodbye, Seth.
-At the wedding, the minister starts the last part of the ceremony but Cris bursts through the doors and everyone freezes.
